Useful Information
Below you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our activities, meetings, and more. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always happy to help.
Do I have to be a member to participate?
We always welcome new members to our family with open arms as we build a safe community for all individuals. While you do not need to be a member to participate in events and join us at meetings, it is important for us to maintain a respectful, open environment for members, guests, and speakers to feel supported and appreciated as we deal with sensitive and emotionally taxing topics. Our goal is to spread awareness, educating individuals and devising solutions to combat campus sexual assault. We are always here to lend a hand if and when you are ready. If you are interested in joining a board position or have additional questions, please contact us at sacsa@colorado.edu.
How often does Students Against Campus Sexual Assault meet?
Meetings occur biweekly. We often host special guest speakers, collaborate with other clubs, and organize events. SACSA dedicates its time, effort, and funding to creating an inclusive, safe, and secure environment for its members. We use this time to connect, coming together as a community to discuss and voice our beliefs, offer support to our fellow peers, and continue to educate ourselves. Our Instagram account lists all upcoming events with details about the time, date, and location! Give us a follow @sacsa to stay up to date. We also have an "upcoming events" tab in the upper heading of this website for easy access.
How do I join a meeting for the first time?
Meetings are open to everyone! We hold meetings biweekly typically in UMC 120. Any changes to meeting time and place will be announced in our reminders via email, GroupMe, or Instagram.
